50 days. The leaves look like endive with their deeply cut, crinkled appearance and dark green color. The tangy flavor makes this lettuce a winner in salads. Very uniform loose-leaf type.

What are the cons? Poor germination rate

Review:

I planted these lettuce seeds in half of a raised bed with the same soil, irrigation and all around similar conditions as five other types of lettuces. The other lettuces I planted have done amazingly, but these just never took off. The germination rates were poor, and while all of my other lettuces are ready to harvest, these are still just tiny seedlings. Maybe someone who lives in a wetter climate would have better luck, but I will not try this plant again.

What are the pros? deep green color & taste

What are the cons? none

Review:

With a bit of detective work after trying this mystery green from the European Mix I found this to be a lettuce I would not have purchased but love the taste & texture of this lettuce.....fun to grow, pretty. Survived some pretty cold winter temps in DC under a hoop cover to give me luscious curly greens this spring.....delicious & a new favorite in my garden. It's not available now....but I'm willing to wait.
