This is a yard--long bean with a compact, more bush like growth habit! Great for those seeking to grow yard long beans without a trellis or with less garden space. These high yielding bush beans grow to be very large and meaty. Beans can grow to be quite long, although they taste best when harvested fairly small and tender. Matures in 50 days.

What are the pros? Very easy to grow and harvest.

What are the cons? None I can think of.

Review:

One of the first vegetable I grew when I started gardening. Holds up exceptionally well to the zone 9b, central Florida heat and humidity. Easy to shell. Mild nutty flavor.

What are the pros? Flavor and size

What are the cons? Late development

Review:

A great tasting bean. Much sweeter than traditional "green beans". I was pleasantly surprised the first time we ate these. Definitely will be planting again. The plants were a little slow to develop. Our other varieties had bloomed and we were getting our second picking prior to the Thai variety reaching maturity. However, once we reached the end of July and the beginning of August they exploded with growth and production. Our 8 foot trial row produced a five gallon bucket of beans. Although these are classified as a bush bean they definitely have vining characteristics. Most of the beans developed on the top of the plants which made for an easy harvest.
