85 days. Very mild and sweet, the 10” to 12” long, very slender fruit are a beautiful light-lime green. One of the best-tasting eggplants; superb flavor and very tender. Good yields on 2’ to 3’ tall plants. This heirloom from Thailand is becoming popular with gourmet chefs.

Review:

This is an excellent eggplant. It was the first eggplant to mature in the garden, and continued heavily producing until weather dictated I harvest the remainder. I grew two plants. Each out produced the other 8 varieties I grew. It is a very tender eggplant, even when allowed to grow to a large size (16" long by over 2" in diameter). It was equally delicious saut?ed, or cooked on the grill. Unlike other eggplants, the grilled skin stays tender and edible. I will always grow this variety in the future.

Review:

We are semi-desert in inland CA. Disappointed in these - they did not like our high temps so I will not grow again.

What are the pros? High yield, great taste

Review:

This was a great eggplant. Very smooth, dense, texture that makes it instantly distinctive from other eggplant. I was slightly concerned about planting these, since I live in an arid desert area, but they didn't seem to care in the least. It was very prolific and I had no issues with bitterness. I will definitely grow again.

Review:

I was really excited to try these but ended up not having that much success. I'm not sure if it was mostly due to environment and climate (zone 6A -the flea beatles were prolific this past summer) or grower error as I had quite a bit of trouble with the seedlings damping off and therefore not having very many left by the time they were ready to transplant. I'm going to try again and see what happens...

Review:

I love this eggplant, it is gorgeously smooth, the skin is delicate, and its flavour is fantastic. No bitterness. This eggplant does need lots of heat though. I grow it in my greenhouse, but this last summer was too cool and rainy/cloudy; I did not get a good crop. I have had excellent yields in previous years.
