We are just one month away from The 2013 National Heirloom Exposition.  What began as a mere idea more than 3 years ago has morphed into the the world's largest event to focus on heirloom and local food movements.  The expo has expanded to draw some of the world's most renowned presenters on pure food, top chefs, entertaining musicians, organic farmers, rare heritage breeds of animals, and much more.

The Expo will once again feature the world's largest exhibit of heirloom produce that will showcase hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables. Whether you operate a large farm or simply grow a few things in containers, there is room for your contribution to the  exhibits.  There will be massive tastings of fresh produce, as well as exciting chef demonstrations

The educational and fun Day for youth has been popular since the first Expo and continues to draw large crowds of school groups and families that turn out for the day filled with contests, games, and educational activities just for the younger crowd.

The barns will be filled with historic, heritage, and pure breeds of animals vying for cash prizes and ribbons.  Many rare and exotic breeds of poultry will be exhibited and judged.

The flower show has always been a big draw, and no less is expected this year as gardeners bring their flowers and floral arrangements to display, exhibit and possibly compete.

The art of the heirloom exhibits will feature many types of art, including fruit and vegetable carving, paintings, crafts, quilts, recycled-object art, jewelry, seed art, photography many more that will be displayed and judged.
