What are the pros? Showy color Blooms
What are the cons? none
Lovely, showy blooms. Plants grew to 12 feet. Flowers produced very good seed to eat, but we left ours for the birds. They attracted a swift yellow bird that we usually don't get to see. When the sunflowers die down- that's when we get to see them. The colors are lovely, and most plants put out 2 or three sunflowers. Made nice cut flowers for inside the house. I never got to save seed, because the birds took them all in a few days, but some volunteers are coming up now, that I can save seed from. Highly recommend.

I planted these as a border sunflower in my WV garden and was very pleased with the results. I just weeded them and they did the rest! The plants grew between 5'-6' and offered a diverse selection of colors: lemon yellow, rust, yellow/orange, and almost black maroon to name a few. The birds loved the seeds as well. They make the best bouquets to brighten up the home.

I planted these last year after years of bad luck growing sunflowers. My goodness, what a great turnout! The flowers grew tall (some over 8 feet) and strong and beautifully colorful. I don't want to use any other sunflower seeds but these from now on!
