What are the pros? large leaves
What are the cons? none
This was our first year growing this one. Large beautiful leaves, mild flavor, but unfortunately is the first to be heavily laden with aphids (and in a new raised bed)_no fault of the kale. :)
All time favorite remains the Blue Scotch Curled

What are the pros? Heat tolerant.
What are the cons? No cons...
More heat and drought tolerant than other varieties. I found this Baker Creek seed at a local store. Very pleased with the long summer production. The ones that were planted in the shade area last spring are still surviving without cover in mid December. Not as cold tolerant as others I would say. I may get a bit in the early spring from these with any luck...
What are the pros? Looks nice in the garden!
Of the kale I planted last spring this one was most bug resistant. It has a nice flavor and I really like the kind of silvery green color! Planted with the many varieties of chard, cabbage etc. it was very nice looking!

What are the pros? Easy to grow
What are the cons? None
I live in central Florida and this Kale is still going strong in our heat and humidity. It resists aphids too, which couldn't be said for the collard greens that were growing nearby. I planted it in early spring. I will grow it again for sure this fall!
