What are the pros? Flavor and beauty

What are the cons? Needs hotter climate to thrive

Review:

It was a surprise to see fruit one day after a long time with flowers and nothing else. We also had a cold growing season, and these need more heat than other seedlings to sprout and grow well (if at all). It is worth it, regardless of this years difficulties, since it has a mild flavor and is an absolutely beautiful fruit and plant. Grow it as an ornamental even if you don't like eggplant at all! Pick these SMALL since they will become seedy at the size of a duck egg. Prolific seeds are great to save, no worries there!

Review:

I bought two of these eggplants as transplants from Home Depot having previously had minimal success with the traditional aubergine colored variety. I live on the Texas Gulf Coast and not many vegetables can tolerate our summer heat. These two transplanted eggplants are now massive and I can harvest 2 fruits every other day. I have had to cover the plants with a nylon net to fend off the Blue Jays who also think the fruit delicious. I doubt that I would have had the same success last year with the Texas drought but this is gangbusters. Oh and they taste delicious too when cooked to an online Indian Brinjal curry recipe.

Slow to sprout and needed to help remove seed. Plant is very tiny compared to the other varieties started.
