What are the pros? Crisp, sweet and juicy
What are the cons? A little slow to mature
This is the first year I've tried these. We had a cool, wet summer in northeast Illinois, and the melons just started ripening on August 30th. I started indoors around May 10th and transplanted three weeks later.
Pick when they change colors and slip easily. They turn over night. These are nice sized and possibly the best melon I have ever tasted. Very crisp and sweet.
