Large healthy plants produce nice-sized, beautiful purple heads that turn bright green when cooked; very tasty. A fine Italian variety.

What are the pros? Colorful veggies.

What are the cons? Non that I know of

Review:

This is my first time I come across this colorful cauliflower. The color is so attractive & is more than one colors on a plant. I will definitely get this Violetta Italia Cauliflower seeds & grow them in my raised bed garden in order to know the result. Whether is easy to grow or not, cannot always depends on the review of others even though the reviews do help & give good comments. Beside I like easy to grow plants, since I'm still learning.

What are the pros? the massive size!

What are the cons? not all true to form

Review:

Started around 500 of these seeds in 2016 in greenhouse conditions and then planted in 3 different gardens and soil conditions. The majority of plants didn't form the desired heads but instead grew and flowered like a sprouting broccoli... however, 20 percent of the crop did form nice heads or seemed that they could have if given enough care over a long enough period of time. Plantings in May and regular rain/water enabled the large successful heads to be ready for Market in October.
