What are the pros? Grew fast, likes manure, tough

What are the cons? Slow drying down

Review:

Wades Giant was a little slow to emerge, but moisture conditions were tough right after planting,so I irrigated, and it came up.It grew fast and liked the manure I worked in and used it well, had great color, pollinated very well.It cross bred with some regular Indian corn I had from the farm store and made some real funky lookin corn on a few stalks.I had a lot of 12-14 inch ears.I ordered 2 packets and didnt get enough for 2 full rows in my garden,so order plenty.Livestock loves the ears.Im saving seed, and want to raise this corn to pick in the ear and feed livestock. It pollinated well, but we had unseasonably cool and moist weather at the time.I am curious how well it does at 100 degrees and a 20 mph wind during pollinating time.If it'll yield anything like what it did this time,Im hooked for life.I loved raising this corn.P.S. Heres a bonus...Ive had coons ruin corn for years, and even though they broke over a few stalks, they left the ears alone. So cows love it and coons dont!

What are the pros? Huge gorgeous ears!

What are the cons? None

Review:

Wow, this corn delivers on its promise. 12-14" ears in stunning colors. I was worried that the wind in my area would be a problem for the size of this corn, it was not. Hands down winner for size and beauty.

Review:

I grew this corn with long beans and scalloped squash. All from rareseeds. I wish I could upload a photo. It was beautiful. This was my first time growing corn. I started it inside in soil block mix (Elliot Coleman) and almost all of it germinated. In 100 square feet I got 14 pounds of corn. I will be saving some of that to plant again. We just husked it and have yet to try eating any.

Grew 1 pack. Double seeded, culled the weaker plant. Got 4 lbs dried seed corn I'm going to plant this year. The corn grew over 12 feet tall. Amazing!

Our corn grew ten feet tall, seemed to take a long time for the cobs to get there, but once they showed up, wow! What great colors, a for sure decision will do for years to come!
