What are the pros? Grows well in the winter

What are the cons? None

Review:

We plant this in September or October, as winter is the only time we can grow broccoli due to the heat. Produces all winter, as we even had ice once and it kept on going. Not usually bothered by bugs. Good flavor, much better than the grocery store.

What are the pros? Flavor is INCREDIBLE

What are the cons? None

Review:

I am in Zone 10a, Southern California, and planted these in seed starter pots in January, but left them in too long, so when I transplanted them to the ground 60 days later, they took a while to get growing. My bad to leave them in pots more than 30 days. I'm a newbie to all this. plants started taking off, getting about 2ft. tall with no sign of heads by early May. I almost pulled them out because I thought they'd bolted, when the heads started forming around mid-May and growing like mad. Not as big as icky store-bought monster broccoli, but we just harvested and ate some last night (June 1). The color and flavor of this home-grown broccoli is better than even the fancy-pants $50 a plate restaurants serve. Leaves them in the dust. Lesson learned: Plant earlier into the garden soil here in So. Cal, and be patient! This has been worth all the wait.

What are the pros? Delicious

What are the cons? So good my dog tries to steal

Review:

Had a weird spring, but this broccoli persevered. Harvested for the past 2 weeks. Even the stems are delicious and tender. Best tasting broccoli I've had.

What are the pros? Low maintenance, easy to grow

What are the cons? should have planted more

Review:

I planted seeds around the first of February indoors, transplanted outdoor around the first of April. I only planted 3 plants and all yielded large beautiful heads of broccoli- these were harvested around mid-late May. I have historically not been a big broccoli fan, but this home grown broccoli has converted me!

What are the pros? compact head, great taste

What are the cons? none

Review:

These broccoli have been the best we have grown so far. We started them indoors due to our location (Northern Minnesota) and corresponding short growing season. The heads were nice and compact with a great taste. My daughter said it is the best broccoli she has ever tasted. Coming from an eight year old that's a pretty big complement. Will grow again next year.
