Slender, 6-inch, ice-white roots have crisp flesh and fine flavor; mild and fine quality. This pre-1865 heirloom is still popular with home and market growers alike. Easy to grow.

What are the pros? they grow quickly and huge

What are the cons? dont let them go too long

Review:

I actually don't like radishes that much, but I grew these mostly to repel pests. They do seem effective for that--haven't had any issues with cucumber beetles and squash bugs like I did last year. They grow SUPER fast into huge white radishes. If you let them go too long the radish root will shrink and they will bolt very high. I let a few go to try to save seed for next year. The flavor is good but pretty spicy. Mine germinated almost 100% so I ended up with way more than I bargained for!

What are the pros? Easy to grow, fast to germ

What are the cons? Spicey, early to bolt

Review:

I got these radishes for my children thinking they were mild. Picked recently early and was too spicey for my children to eat. They love jalepenos and onions so you could imagine I was surprised. If you are looking for this you will ove them but mild they were not.

What are the pros? easy, tolerate cold well

What are the cons? none really

Review:

This is a great radish. it germinated well and was easy to care for. tolerated our hot dry utah summer well. i planted in an amended clay soil. can pick early or late - did not affect quality. i got HUGE radishes when left in the ground even when planted intensively close together. great in salads, sopus. i was picking them into early december - probably could have continued if i would have taken a tarp off them promptly after a cold spell :(

Review:

So easy to grow and has a great appearance when set out at market with the tops attached. Hard to find radish anywhere, which is a shame because this one is a beauty.
