What are the pros? Easiest plant I've grown

What are the cons? berries touch the ground

Review:

I'm just a beginner and these plants were very easy for me. I started them in a terra cotta pot last year and they had no issues (besides one hungry caterpillar). My only issue now is that it is outgrowing the pot it's in. They prefer shade; I have to keep them on the porch. I tasted a berry last year (even though you're not supposed to let them produce the first year) and it was unique. Light tropical sweet flavor. I tried to force it to go dormant this winter in the garage but it stayed green but perked up and grew even more when I put it out this spring. I would say this plant is extremely hardy and fascinates everyone who sees its white strawberries

What are the pros? easy to germinate

What are the cons? none

Review:

I put the packets in the freezer for 2 wks and then sprinkled half on a wet paper towel in a zip lock bag and half in individual pots to put out in the greenhouse. The seeds in the greenhouse took about 3 wks to germinate while the ones in the plastic bag sprouted within 1.5 weeks. I transferred the seeds on the paper towel into a container with seed starter soil. So far I have had awesome growth. Many have their third leaf and anything that goes wrong with them at this point is either my fault or nature. Really impressed with these seeds!

What are the pros? never experienced white berrie

What are the cons? none

Review:

I am having success with my seedlings: I began planting these seeds the first week of March, indoors... I have them in 2.5'' x 2.5'' compostable planters/flats, and I have an organic soil mix. I put the seeds on top of the soil *and I did not cover them with soil. I placed them in a room with a sun window and use a spray bottle to water them. In just under 2 weeks many, many seedlings are now appearing.

What are the pros? The other reviews

What are the cons? The actual productivity

Review:

This product has alot of positive reviews and I never had white stawberries before and I just got into gardening and its fun so I thought, oh yea! But as it turned out...its been about 3 wks haven't seen 1 inch of a seed sprout. I have them under 2 grow lights directily under because everything else seems to have a merry good time sprouting but these strawberries. I have a few seeds left to try to grow outdoors but I don't expect anything from them. In my opinion, for the experts only on these ones.

What are the pros? Interesting flavor, fragrance

What are the cons? Hard to start

Review:

Man were these hard to get started. Germination was pretty easy, but time after time, each plant failed to thrive and take off. It seems the seedlings are extremely sensitive to Miracle Gro All-Purpose Water Soluble fertilizer, most likely due to the high ammoniacal nitrogen and urea content. My one and only plant that made it was slowly and carefully babied along on captured rain water and no fertilizers until after seeing it put up it's first leaf triplet or two. Then I stuck it in hydroponics and it finally took off. Berries are fruity smelling when ripe, and they pop off of the plant easily when pushing from behind the calyx. The berry has a rather creamy texture that seems to melt in your mouth. You probably wouldn't need to make jam out of these, just squish the raw berries into your toast, they're that soft. As others mentioned, the flavor is reminiscent of pineapple or some other tropical fruit, not at all like normal strawberries aside from appearance. Small, but numerous.
