80 days Beautiful, snow-white flesh is so pale it's almost transparent! The flavor is unique, fruity, and so delicious. The small, round 3-8 lb icebox-sized fruit are very refreshing and perfect for gourmet growers wanting to target high-class markets. These will add contrast to any display and are sure to bring attention at farmers' markets. White-fleshed watermelons were common in the 1800's, but due to corporate agriculture, these genetic treasures are about to be lost. That is a shame, as white-fleshed varieties date back hundreds of years and were developed in Africa from wild strains. This early variety is not for shipping as it cracks easily, but you will enjoy its unique crispness, fresh from the garden.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, White-flesh

What are the cons? NIL

Review:

Some review says taste like cucumber, so trying to grow a bit longer until the vine turns brown. (around 35 days after fruit set after pollination) The taste is quite unique, mix of sour, sweet, and watermelon favor, can say it is quite refreshing. BRIX ~8% near the center but the taste near rind is quite pale. The flesh color is white but carry a bit of yellow. Would plant again next year

A hardy prolific producing plant. Has kind of tropical fruit flavor. Not quite sure how to rate it.

What are the pros? Super easy to grow

What are the cons? Taste

Review:

This watermelon is incredibly easy to grow, early to sprout, and tolerates okay soil and intense heat really well. The downside is just a personal one - I am not a huge fan of the taste. I agree with the first review - it tastes like a cucumber. To me there's no melon taste at all, and it kind of tastes like nothing.

Review:

To me, these lack watermelon flavor. Crisp and kind of sweet, but taste more like a melony cucumber than a melon. But my wife disagrees. She loves them. Either way, they grow great. We grew several vines in 2011 and had 3 volunteers in 2012. I suspected that my boys had gotten into some, and the volunteers are the witnesses!

Review:

I planted 2 packets this year and their are a great white melon and very sweet. I saved the seeds from 5 of the best melons so I grow then next year and take them to the market. Only thing is you have to be careful besause the rind is thin and will crack if you do not be careful. When I told my friends that I am growing a white watermelon, the said what, I have never heard of a white watermelon.Hope this help's,Matt
