What are the pros? Excellent roasted or mashed

What are the cons? Liked by deer

Review:

This vegetable turned out to be an excellent addition to my garden and I want to plant more of these things next year. It is a strong grower, not bothered by insects and produces firm, delicious tubers with a slightly sweet taste. The roots grow to be from 3 to 7 inches in diameter so thinning is an important part of getting a better crop because crowded plants will result in smaller roots. And these roots are tough enough to shrug off snow and even frozen ground without damage.

What are the pros? Cold tolerant and tasty

What are the cons? Harlequin bug magnet

Review:

These rutabagas grew well for us last summer & fall. They attracted many harlequin bugs, so I will cover them this year. I start them in trays in early July and plant out when they have 3-5 true leaves. They last well into the fall and are tasty roasted.
