What are the pros? still usable

What are the cons? bug infested, not big heads

Review:

Not like the picture on seed packets. Maybe received wrong seeds. Started ok but later became attractive to bugs. More than average washing. Had to remove lots of outer leaves already turning brown. Tall plants. Did grow enough to make kimchi, though I would prefer the other variety with rounder shape. Slugs and aphids trap crop.

What are the pros? Taste, Growth, Bug Resistance

What are the cons? Prickly Leaves

Review:

Wong Bok has a great napa cabbage flavor and has a nice crunchy leaf stem even when cooked in stews/soup (the ones I usually get in stores turn to mush). My mom says it reminds her of a napa variety that she used to eat in China. I planted seeds in late October, transplanted in mid-November, and began harvesting in early January until now... harvested my last napa today (early Feb). I was surprised that it formed nice heads despite this being a very warm winter... average temps have been in the high 70s. The cabbage grew to a height of 18-24" and spread of 10-12". There were lots of aphids in our garden this year, but for some reason they never got to the Wong Bok cabbage :) One downside is the prickly leaves, but they seem to completely disappear when cooked. Will be growing again next year, and highly recommend this variety.

What are the pros? growth

What are the cons? did not go to seed

Review:

Zone 8: planted in spring 2015 and is still growing in November, not as pretty now but has done a great job of surviving the bugs during the summer. I thought after the spring that I was going to pull it up but it looked happy so wanted to see if I could get seeds. Planted limas beside it so that kept the plants shaded so I am now waiting for it to die but it is holding on. I'm still feeding it and its the same color so I want to see if it will last the winter if the weather isn't too bad. Who wouldn't want something that last seasons throughout the year. It didn't form a head but that's fine. It had like bristles on it but you can't taste them once cooked. Good cabbage.
