(Topaeolum peregrinum) Exotic South American native vine reaches 15 feet, yet is no harder to grow than its cousin, the garden nasturtium. Round, deeply lobed leaves are edible: bizarre, bright yellow orchid-like flowers are produced all summer long; must be seen to be believed.

What are the pros? Interesting flowers

What are the cons? Nothing!

Review:

This season was way too cold for any type of nasturtium to amount to much before the end of the growing season, but these are worth it. Unfortunately, the weather killed off all but two, but I will be ordering more seeds for next year. The flowers are unique and have a wonderful color!

What are the cons? Zero germination

Review:

Planted these where I've previously had no problems growing other nasturtiums, but not one of the seeds sprouted. I don't know what went wrong, but I followed the instructions. Very disappointing.
