A beloved runner bean from Great Britain, this variety is applauded for its ability to produce massive profusions of perfectly uniform beans, making it an excellent choice for farmers market production. An edible ornamental, the lush and vigorous vines are quite floriferous and covered in sweet pea-like blooms that are edible. The young tender green beans are excellent eaten fresh, but the dried beans are cooked.

What are the pros? prolific and beautiful

Zone 8B These beans are easy to grow and require very little tending. The beans are easily the size of a finger digit and have a very nutty flavor when cooked. I grow them specifically for beans and ham hocks. The beans do well in the rainy, damp PNW.

Super easy plants. Grew from seed in the garden. Beans grew up to 13 inches and very tasty. Looking forward to growing these next year.
