Agastache - Rose Mint

Aromatic perennial with phenomenal minty, rose fragrance. Prepare for a super long season of heavenly scented blooms. This agastache will set flowers in June that last until September, beckoning pollinators and beneficials from across the animal kingdom! The irresistible blooms are lavender-rose colored and add drifts of soft color and heavy scent to landscapes. The carefree plants thrive in poor, dry ground.

What are the pros? Fragrant, beautiful

What are the cons? Honeybees don't go to it

Review:

I was interested in the pollinator friendly aspect wanting to feed the honeybees. I had bees liked many flowers in the garden but not these. The bumble bees like them, which made me happy. The cabbage moths also really likes them, but not any of the other butterflies that frequent the flower patches. I did see a number of hover flies at one point in the year...In my neck of the woods I wouldn't consider it a real outstanding pollinator magnet.

What are the pros? Smells great!

What are the cons? N/a

Review:

I just planted these out today. But so far so good. They germinated under grow lights indoors and grew to fill seedling pots. The leaves really do smell like rose and mint mixed. Can’t wait to see and smell the flowers!
