What are the pros? Easy to grow, edible

What are the cons? May seem to grow bit slow

Review:

I wanted to grow something visually pleasing at the same time it's edible in my 4 x 8 balcony garden and this was just perfect. The flowers kept coming and tasted so great too! If you are tired of the all common nasturtium I highly recommend this variety. It looks so elegant yet so unique, what you see on the photo is what you will get!

What are the pros? This is beautiful!

What are the cons? non

Review:

Absolutely love the variegated leaves and the beautiful burgundy red flowers on this Nasturtium. It has had a great germination rate and has been easy to care for.

What are the pros? Loved the leaf and bloom color

What are the cons? Growth was slow

Review:

I direct-sowed these in a partially shaded location in a raised urn and as a low filler in a mixed annual bed. I loved the variations in leaf color and the deep red color of the blooms. My plants were quite small and tidy as compared to other nasturtiums that I grow in the same situations, including Dwarf Jewel. This wasn't necessarily a negative, just was other than what I was expecting. As others mentioned, my seeds were also slow to germinate and the plants were slow to flower, however, we had unusually high rainfall with a lack of sun this past summer, which is not a nasturtium's favorite weather. I will definitely try this variety again, but will plant in full sun with more space to itself next time.

What are the pros? variegated leaves;great color

What are the cons? none

Review:

This one's a winner. The variegated leaves are just a plus to the striking red flowers that bloomed all summer long. Just tossed them into a pot and off they went.

What are the pros? abundance of blooms

What are the cons? took a while to flower

Review:

I grew nasturtium for the first time this year. Grew them in hanging baskets on my front porch (facing East.) Mostly sunny, but they seemed to enjoy the partial shade as well. Watered every other day. These Alaska Red Shades are gorgeous, simply gorgeous, to the point I will probably grow them from now on in hanging baskets on the front porch. The Red Shades bloomed much more often than the traditional orange and yellow ones that I also grew. A very cheerful flower I thought. It did take them a while to bloom at first, but once they started it has been non-stop flowering from mid summer on until now- almost October.
