For some reason I always have great success with "black" tomatoes - Black Plum, Black Cherry and this "Black Pineapple". I've grown it for a couple years and they seem to start out slowly but surprise me with a sizeable yield of big, juicy, delicious tomatoes. Not a trace of mealiness unlike some other early high-yielding tomatoes I've grown. They're a bit funky-looking and definitely far from uniform, but the taste and vigour more than makes up for it.
