What are the cons? Nothing!
These are AMAZING! I've had no pest issues with them (not even flee beetles which made Swiss Cheese of my other eggplants), they are super easy, and so far, prolific! The eggplants are so tender and soft and not bitter at all! I harvested once they started loosing their shine. Absolutely delicious! I think these are my new favorite eggplant! I like that they are smaller too since it's just me and my little, we can control the amount we cut up and cook. With the big ones, once you cut it, you really need to use it right away. I just thin sliced, pan seared in some olive oil, added some chopped homegrown Cherokee Purple tomatoes, homegrown garlic and onions, and homegrown sweet peppers. Seasoned with salt, onion powder, garlic powder. Once plated I topped with some shredded Parmesan cheese. Fab!
