60 to 80 days. Amazingly orange ears are produced super early! We are thrilled to offer this stunning, open-pollinated variety from the gifted corn breeder Ed Schultz of Bozeman, Montana. Although newly released, the variety is nothing new; Ed spent 30 years developing this fantastic soft flint corn. This lovely variety sports a range of orange color from brilliant sunburst orange to pumpkin orange to russett orange; even the cobs are orange! For an added surprise, it will throw an occasional all-white ear. Three to five foot-tall stalks produce 1 to 2 ten-inch ears with 8 rows of kernels in about 60 days.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, productive

What are the cons? Plants only make one ear.

Review:

I've grown this corn now for two seasons in my greenhouse here in Alaska. I saved the seed from 2017 for last year (2018) and I feel the plants did even better for me. Each one producing at least one full ear about 9 inches long and some producing a second smaller ear loaded with kernels. I've used the dried seed to make hominy and then grind into masa, it's wonderful! The short growing season I have here fits well with this variety of corn, which each year has been starting to harden up by the time fall rains hit and I need to harvest for drying. The plants are robust and fast growing. They love fish compost (Salmon) that I produce here from a local stream.

Review:

Mine were nearly 6 feet tall with peach colored pollen. I got every color from blazing russet to peach and yellow with russet tinge, white with a few yellow kernels, white with russet cob underneath, short cobs, very long cobs. I wish I could post a picture.
