END OF SEASON SALE!!!! Dwarf types with fruits ranging from dessert types to plantain (cooking) types. Height ranges from 6-14 feet in most cases, making these suitable for large container culture. This crop is easy to grow in the South and produces fruit rather quickly. Some varieties have green fruit and some red. You can grow these as far north as zone 8 with protection or in heated greenhouses or sun-rooms farther north. We love growing bananas in our Missouri greenhouse and get a crop in around a year. We offer 2 assorted small plants for $15.00

Please consider these terms before ordering live plants:
Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of March to the end of
May. We will try to ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed exact delivery dates. Plants may
arrive too early and have to be kept inside until the weather warms. Plants may arrive late, as well.
Due to the sensitive nature of small plants, there is the possibility of a crop failure. If such a situation
occurs, we will do our best to issue you a refund in a timely manner. Last minute losses can occur at
any point in our shipping timeline, and we may have to issue a refund even late in the season. No

orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER MARCH 1, 2019)

Review:

Bought 2 sets of two cavendish banana trees for my first order at the and of April 2019. they were about 4" tall. I planted them on the North side of the house the first week of May, so they get the milder sun here in Central Texas where it bakes and the humidity is horrid. The banana trees are huge. several well over 6 foot tall and beautiful. I am getting the ready to be transplanted and brought indoors for the winter. I put cardboard down for the carbon, and made a mixture of Black Kow manure, cottonseed meal for a slow release fertilizer and soil conditioner, and a small amount of compost all mixed together. )also planted alot of ginger and turmeric in this mixture at the same location and they have excelled. Planted the banana plants and fed them fish fertilizer as needed and topped them off with mulch. they are huge and beautiful, and hoping we get fruit next season. Thanks Baker Creek for offering such high quality plants.

Review:

I bought these after trying two other companies plants and being unsuccessful. I bought two collections, a total of 4 plants, skeptical that I’d have much better luck. Boy was I wrong! When they arrived they were approximately just 3” tall and I just kinda chuckled to myself thinking I had wasted my money. But I planted, tended, and fertilized them monthly. They arrived the end of May and about 4 months later they are already very close to 2’ tall with a stem so thick I can barely encircle the trunk with my hand anymore. They are my little bit of tropical paradise in an otherwise cold and dry climate. I have brought them in for the winter and have a fairly sunny south facing window to position them in. Can’t wait to see how they do this winter. They are very fun to watch as they are quick growing and are weekly putting out new beautiful red and green leaves. If you are on the fence about trying them, take the plunge. I highly recommend Baker Creek for these, you won’t be disappointed!!

What are the pros? Dwarf? Only the bananas.

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

Bought these last year to see what we would get. Bananas do well here in Central Florida but usually take time to fruit. Imagine my surprise when all three bloomed this year. Well worth the price if you aren't concerned about variety.

What are the pros? Attractive foliage, easy care

What are the cons? None

Review:

I ordered these last year, when I received three for $15. I gave one away and kept two. Both are thriving indoors, even in dry Colorado. They near a South and West facing window, and after a year and occasional feeding, they are roughly three feet tall. I do have them near a humidifier, and occasionally mist when I remember to. They are now growing really fast - adding a new leaf almost once per week. I water deeply once or twice a week, depending on if they look droopy (they like water more than any of my other plants). Interested to see if they eventually fruit (though I mostly bought them for their pretty leaves, so it's not a big deal to me). Highly recommend these!

What are the cons? Takes 3 yrs for bananas

Review:

I brought 3 for $15, they maybe 4"or 5 tall" . this was 2 years ago so, far doing good, I keep them Potts, by a south window, It read 3rd year produce of dwarf bananas, next year they should produce. Read 7' to 8' tall.. I have a 8' x18' 8' ceiling enclose back porch , all large windows, like a green house. so I think that will do, as I cant put outside, because of winter temps. I have re-potted twice so far. Cant wait til start producing. I would recommend, these
