What are the pros? Juicy, Meaty, Low Acid
What are the cons? A little cracking but not bad
I've grown Barnes Mountain tomatoes for the past two years. They are very meaty and juicy and not too seedy. I like how the skin peels off quite easily but it's not too thick anyway. When cut up into a bowl, they look exactly like a bowl of juicy sliced peaches. These continue to ripen nicely off the vine. I love them with a little mayo and garlic salt in a bowl or on toast as a sandwich. They don't look exactly like the photo. They look more like the photo of the Kellogg's Breakfast tomato on this site. There is a little cracking near the stem sometimes but I think that is environmental because it happened much less this year. I used to like cherry tomatoes best until I tried Barnes Mt.
