What are the pros? Good lemon flavor

What are the cons? Spindly plant

Review:

The flavor is great, though it doesn't taste like basil exactly. It tastes lemony and good. The stems are hairy, and since I've never grown basil before I wasn't sure if this was normal so I googled it, and I guess it is. The plant is spindly and thin, even though I pinched the tops to encourage the plant to bush out it never did, it just stayed delicate looking next to the other basil I grew. I will grow it again though, because it smells so good and even though it doesn't taste "basily" to me, it still tastes good.

What are the pros? Taste, easy to grow

What are the cons? Nothing

Review:

I love this lemon basil. It’s easy to grow, tastes and smells great. I like to pair it with chicken, pasta, fish, etc. and have even eaten the leaves by themselves. I never had any pest problems with it and it even seemed to repel the mosquitos some. I love that when harvesting it my hands end up smelling like lemon for a while after. I’ve also grown the lime basil and enjoy it as well.

What are the pros? Easy to grow, smells amazing

What are the cons? Tends to grow a little leggy

Review:

This lemon basil smells amazing and tastes delicious too. I use it mainly in mixed planters to help repel mosquitos. Grows really well, I feel that most if not all seeds planted germinated. The only thing I've noticed is that it gets a little leggy if toy don't keep up on pruning it back, but this may be due to some taller plants in the mixed containers.

What are the pros? Amazing taste/smell

What are the cons? flowers quickly

Review:

I found these plants to have a more mild basil flavor than others I've tried, but I like it more. The best part is harvesting it and having your hands smell like Lemon's all day. I know people say basil is best before it flowers, but I've enjoyed the flavor more since it has flowered.

What are the pros? Great taste

What are the cons? goes to seed quickly

Review:

I made basil lemonade with this variety and it was very good. I also found myself munching on the leaves of my lemon basil plants while I was weeding. It was very easy to grow and productive. Though like all my other basil varieties, goes to seed rather quickly once plants are established. I should also note that these plants survived an unexpected frost early in the season.
