What are the pros? Prolific, pest deterrent, heat

What are the cons? nothing

I recommend this herb all the time. IT grows prolifically here in Phoenix, in full brutal sun with little water. It will bloom with a wild flower like beauty for months on end. It even survived the mild winter and is going for another round. It also self seeds prolifically, which I don't mind as I dig it up and use it in all my garden beds as a pest deterring companion plant. That's right, bugs do not eat this guy and his smelly compounds repel lots of things away from other nearby delicate edibles. Plus the bees love this stuff. My plants grew about 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide in a giant ball like shape with woody trunks- they were in enriched chop and drop soil with lots of worms. The herbs planted in lesser quality soil still did very well, but only grew about 1.5 feet tall, 2 feet wide. The only negative.... what on earth can I use all this Thai Basil for? You'll be giving it away in large baskets...
