Review:

I've grown (and tasted) over 50 different varieties of melons. Some I like, some I don't. Most have at least an "acceptable" taste even if they're not rock stars. There are a select few though (I can count them on one hand) that are so bad that I just tear them out and feed them to the chickens. This is on that list. I tried several and I'm pretty sure I was catching it when it was ripe. I'm not sure how to describe the taste, but it's not even slightly sweet, definitely bland, also actually bad. The taste is both weak and undesirable. I fight mice and voles in my garden a lot as they love my melons. They didn't touch this either. I know from firsthand experience that soil does have a huge impact on taste, and if that's the case here, whatever it is this thing wants isn't what my other melons need to taste great. It does produce quite heavily.
