What are the pros? Awesome tomatoes.
What are the cons? slow growing.
Grew them last summer for the first time. I only put in one plant, which was a mistake. They are very slow to ripen. And the yields are not heavy. That being said, I picked them when most of the tomato was black and just the bottom was green. These have a nice flavor. But what I like the most is that they make perfect fried "black" tomatoes. They don't get soggy, which also makes them good for burgers and sandwiches. If you like really juicy tomatoes, these are not for you.
