What are the pros? spicy and fun
What are the cons? none
I started these a little late in the Spring knowing they bold, flowers and make seed pods. Worked like a charm. I have soooo many seed pods. I have harvested the plants hole and they are sitting on some sheets so I can collect the seeds in a few weeks. I love cooking with mustard seed and this is my 1st year growing it. Any way, the leaves are not big but they pack a punch of slow burn in the mouth and before they were blooming they did not have any bitterness. I will be planting some more this month so I can enjoy the leaves this Fall.

What are the pros? Small leaves
What are the cons? Flavor
This plant has grown straight up on a stock with small leaves. I made the mistake of eating this spicy plant raw one day and now I can't help but eating leaves ever time I pass by it. I grow this from spring to fall and it is the favorite thing I snack on in my garden. It didn't do well uncovered in the winter.

What are the pros? re seeds yr to yr
What are the cons? Have to fight birds for seeds
I have been growing for two years now. Wonderful greens for my salad in winter and love the peppery flavor. I have to grab the seeds before the little birds get them. Luckily some seeds fly away and re seed the following winter. Our winters have been mild.
