DON'T MISS THIS END OF SEASON SALE 18 PREMIUM PLANTS IN 4 INCH POTS!!! These plants have been up-potted from plugs in our nursery and are well established and ready to ship to you!  SEE description of the original plugs below!

Zones 5b-8a  Extra sweet berries dazzle like diamonds on vigorous vines. These sparkling white berries were developed by the great Luther Burbank, legendary plant breeder of the early 20th Century. Burbank, who was also responsible for the Russet Burbank potato and the Shasta Daisy, took a chance mutation white blackberry that was found growing in the wild in New Jersey and bred a more bright white berry. The result, introduced in 1916, was a stunning alabaster fruit with exceptional sweet flavor. This variety never transcended its reputation as a garden novelty and for that reason the Snowbank completely disappeared from the commercial market. We are delighted to offer the Snowbank Blackberry after many years of anticipation! It almost went extinct, one of the most exciting rediscoveries ever!

Please consider these terms before ordering live plants: Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of March to the end of May. We will try to ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed exact delivery dates. Plants may arrive too early and have to be kept inside until the weather warms. Plants may arrive late, as well. Due to the sensitive nature of small plants, there is the possibility of a crop failure. If such a situation occurs, we will do our best to issue you a refund in a timely manner. Last minute losses can occur at any point in our shipping timeline, and we may have to issue a refund even late in the season. No orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER MARCH 1, 2019)

What are the pros? Healthy plants

What are the cons? Thorns!!

Review:

As others have noted the plants are very very small - 3 inches tops. I followed the advice of the earlier reviewers and kept the plants in pots (potting up as necessary). I received the plants in late April and just transplanted them (7/31/19) into the permanent spot. I am so happy that I did. The plants are now about a foot tall and have grown several canes and are lush and green. I suspect they would have grown taller but they were in part shade while in the pots. One word of warning - the plants have lots and lots of thorns - and they are sharp. If you have small children or pets you really should think twice about planting them where those kids and pets have access. Also, leather gloves are essential when handling the plants.

What are the pros? cool

What are the cons? slow growing

Review:

As a plant, I couldn't ask for more. I haven't gotten any berries yet, but I still love them. These arrived in March this year, and four months later they are sending out new growth. I put them inside for awhile under my led lamps. They won't come with much rooting, so you may want to leave them in the soil they come in for a bit. I left mine for about a month I'd guess. After that I put them into a 10 gallon pot with more soil and nutrients and put them outside. They are in a spot that gets a lot of sun, and it's very hot here. I water them the same amount I water the yard, but they seem pretty hardy. Pretty excited to have something Luther Burbank made and a cool fruit that most people don't know about.

What are the pros? Cool/rare fresh fruit

What are the cons? Sensitive plant to keep

Review:

After reading previous reviews, I went with the indoor route first. My 2 plants arrived on time and in good condition but needed water. I just kept them in the baggie, added water, and sat it by a window sill to settle down for a few days. I then planted them into their own pots and began taking them outside every other day to get used to the outdoors, eventually leaving them there over night. After a week, I saw they were still good so I transplanted them into their permanent space. I noticed the original leaves turning a slight yellow-we've had a lot of rain- but was put at ease when I saw new leaves coming out that were healthy and green- so I think I'm in the clear. I definitely recommend taking it slowly with this plant but with a little TLC it can and will grow in the right place. My kids and I can't wait to see what the berries are like.

What are the pros? Healthy plants

What are the cons? Small, but strong

Review:

Ordered last year. Plants arrived healthy. Planted right away in part shade. Grew very little last summer, but have come up strong and healthy this spring. Already 18" tall and look great, bushy and dark green. Have them at the back of the yard where rain water runs downhill to them, but doesn't stand. They seem happy.
