Review:

I’m growing this spinach for the first time in 2018, and I am already so impressed that I’m buying more. I mass-planted this in raised beds at the beginning of March. It’s the beginning of May now and I’m already harvesting beautiful spinach for salads. It germinated perfectly, I don’t think a single seed failed. They need consistent water until they are established. I hand water my spinach patch with a watering can every 2-3 days unless it rains. We had a wet April with back to back storms, so I didn’t need to water the spinach at all for three weeks. If you are doing “square foot” gardening, ignore the spacing instructions. I planted about 100 seeds in 4 square feet. It’s now a thick, luscious carpet of dark leaves. I can pick enough leaves for salads without worrying about harvesting whole plants. I have planted more in other areas already so I can put the “Long Standing” to the test. It’s already consistently in the 80s here so this summer will certainly be warm.
