80 days. This recent Brad Gates introduction was selected from a cross between ‘Beauty King’ and a blue tomato. Fruit is modest beefsteak-type slicers, weighing up to 8 ounces, and the flavor is as good as their outstanding antioxidant content! Gorgeous, deep blue-black shoulders make this unique among slicing types. Excellent potential for market, as the fruit holds well on the vine. Sunburn and crack resistance are a welcome bonus.

What are the pros? Very tasty

What are the cons? My garden sucks

Review:

Didn't grow well for me but then again it was the first year in New soil and was partially shaded The ones I did get to eat were super good so don't let my poor garden influence your decision to grow these.

What are the pros? Delicious, meaty, gorgeous

What are the cons? None

Review:

Easily became my favorite tomato! Beautiful in appearance, delicious flavor, & great for canning as they are very meaty with minimal seeds! These have been a HUGE hit with the family as well. We’ve sliced them as snacks, added them to salads, & cooked them in meals & have not been remotely disappointed. We will most definitely grow more next year!

Review:

I grew these 2 years ago, and they are about the most beautiful tomatoes I have seen, shading from green to cream to pink/ purple/ blue (really a deep purple). They were easy to grow, and while not highly productive, the vines kept producing for 2 years! Even in Hawaii that is very rare.. Very tasty fruit. The only problem I had was with pests (snails, rats, birds). I wound up building cages to protect them. I am willing to share, but they are not so good about it ;) I just wish there were more seeds in a packet. I want to share them with all of my friends. Highly recommended

What are the cons? none

Review:

I do Back to Eden film no-till, no pests, no spray, no fertilizing, no back breaking work gardening, using fresh tree leaf and branch chip mulch on top of the soil 10 inches deep. My plant grew 40-50 (or more I lost count) tomatoes. It would have been more if I had more sun in my 7b area. I grew it IN THE GROUND next to a building with south facing sun. I dropped crushed eggshells on top of the soil and some old food I compost down around the plant instead of wasting the nutrients in a pile somewhere far off in the corner of the yard. It went bonkers with tomatoes. I prune my tomato suckers heavily. Every other type of tomato plant I grew (except the cherries) only got a few tomatoes on it. This plant went beezonkers.

What are the pros? color, flavor

What are the cons? not much

Review:

Grew these in a large planter rather than in ground. Despite that I've been fighting blight on this plant due to a very rainy, humid summer, it's still managed to give me quite a few fruits, all very pretty and delicious, and is still growing and thriving. I will be growing this variety again!
