What are the pros? very easy to grow

What are the cons? heat varies wildly

Review:

very easy to grow but heat varies wildly: 50,000 Scovilles is the upper limit, not the average. the lower limit is very miild; if I pull two peppers from the same plant for a recipe, I might have one that's as hot as a cayenne and the other as mild as an Anaheim, even though the fruits were set at the same time and their maturation was visibly identical.

What are the pros? Heat, Sweetness, and Abundance

What are the cons? None

Review:

I've been experimenting with growing and saving for a few years now and this pepper is a keeper. I am growing three of these close together in small cages, letting the plants intertwine. I'm getting ripening peppers every week. These really gain sweetness when they ripen to red. I've found that the heat varies. I don't have a high tolerance for too much heat and the last one I ate was only about half size and srill orange. It was definitely hotter than the first stage, purple and the final stage, red so far. They are growing near some red habaneros that haven't ripened, but I'm sticking with the notion that some will just be surprisingly hotter on their own. A friend of mine that likes em hot said these are definitely a hot pepper and he wants some seeds. He can eat a scorpion, so I'll trust him when he rates the heat. The heat does subside fairly quickly, and I love the sweetness.

What are the pros? Beautiful color and taste.

What are the cons? none

Review:

I am growing these for the first year and they have already become my new favorite hot pepper. They are easy to start (using a heat mat), they grow quickly, and they are very prolific. The plants are sturdy and tall. I stake them, but am not sure that they even need it. My friends use them as patio plants. I love the taste. They become hotter as the colors change. I use the purple ones in salsa to give it a sweet/hot kick. They also give a delightful complexity to stir-fried vegetables. I will definitely grow them each year!!

What are the pros? high productivity

What are the cons? very low growing

Review:

This variety is showing extremely high fruit count earlier than most other pepper plants have even set 1 fruit. I havent sampled the pepper but this post is just about number of peppers and the early set.
