What are the pros? sweetness
What are the cons? none
Last year I grew the Sweet Passion melon and thought that it was the sweetest melon yet. This year I tried the Charentais and discovered that it is even sweeter. The only drawback is that vigilance is required as they approach ripeness. When you see the melon acquire a tan hue it's time to pick. Otherwise it will split. Of course, the split ones can be trimmed away and still eaten. I will definitely grow this one again next year.
