What are the pros? Flavor, texture, long season
What are the cons? A little hard to get going
This tomato takes a little work to make it go but once it does it's a good producer and produces long after other tomatoes have died off. We picked the final green tomatoes off the vines at the beginning of November- my other tomato plants had been dead for weeks at that point. The flavor and texture are unsurpassed. We used them for fresh eating, making salsa, and spaghetti sauce. Delicious inside and out. Size was anywhere from baseball to softball. Some cracking issues early on with heavy rains but once the season dried up a little, that improved.
