What are the pros? Hardy, easy, gorgeous

What are the cons? None

Review:

My garden will forever have this phlox! Absolutely stunning. Abundant blooms just keep coming on these 12” plants. They came “overpacked due to low germination”, but I had not trouble getting them started...and once they start, the blooms don’t quit! I love the sweet fragrance as well. They did great in sandy soil on the south facing side of my house where many other plants failed.

What are the pros? Took on poor soil conditions

What are the cons? Nothing!

Review:

I scattered several different flower seeds into a poor-soil area of my garden (dry and hot; hard, rocky soil) just to see what would germinate there. Only three or four species thrived, but the cherry caramel phlox was one of them! Such a pretty, cheerful plant with unique coloring. The ivory/beige grading to deep purplish-red is really gorgeous. Next year, I'm going to plant these more intentionally in the poor-soil areas, along with their friends who also did well there (bachelor's buttons, linaria, some cosmos) to bring more color to the barren areas of my property.
