What are the pros? Low maintanance and tasty

What are the cons? Slow growing

Review:

I started these indoors in march. They germinated quickly. As opposed to a lot of the other reviewers I did not find the seedlings delicate at all. In fact, they were treated rather rough when potting on and I did not have time to harden off before planting them outside in mid May. I covered them with fleece and hoped for the best. We had frost a few days later. Most of the plants lost quite a bit of foliage, but all but one survived and they are now ready to harvest. The flavor is wonderful. Much better than ordinary celery imo. Thrives in slightly cooler wheather. I'm in Norway and this is doing well here in spite of a cold and wet spring. Slow growing, probably 100-120 days until maturity, so patience is necessary.

Review:

Stunning plant to grow in the garden. Planted in March and despite some hot/cold screwy weather in the Seattle area this spring, we've had 100% fast and easy germination for two large rows of this plant. Beautiful foliage pattern and stalk color, quite the conversation piece. Would highly recommend -this has won it's place to be a mainstay in our garden.

What are the pros? The colour!

Review:

Excellent germination and came up way quicker than I expected. The seedlings grew very strong. I was unable to harden off due to constant work so I just stuck them out in poor weather.they did suffer but are fighting. 3 i put in a cold frame in April and they are growing so well despite the cold weather. Picture worthy!!

What are the pros? easy germination.

What are the cons? Slow growing.

Review:

I planted early April in northern VA with success, but they are slow growing in a partially shared area with rich soil. Not surprisingly, they may like cool over hot. I wonder if it will come back next year?
