What are the pros? High rate of germination

What are the cons? Far too delicate seedlings

Review:

Just about all of the seeds germinated but they were just so tiny and delicate that they didn't survive. I hadn't even transplanted them yet but it was almost like they just disintegrated. I am going to try one more time this season and then probably give up if I can't get them to grow.

What are the pros? Good germination

What are the cons? Trouble potting on

Review:

I am a new-ish gardener so it’s possibke that operator error is why these didn’t work. Nearly 100% germination, heat mat mini greenhouse thing in a plug of seed start and under a grow light. After initial string starts they dwindled and eventually gave up. It really seemed like they ran out of steam and well, flopped over and died. There’s one still going and I kind of just tossed his little paper pot into the raised bed really early and maybe the cold agreed with it because it’s still going. (Unfortunately I put it right where there were potatoes that I had assumed to be dead/eaten by horrible squirrels and now the little celery is holding it’s own in a virtual forest of potatoes leaves) I’m going to sow another round for the cool fall season and will report back
