What are the pros? Gorgeous, Tasty, Easy
What are the cons? Nothing
I do love basil and this one no less. Excellent germination, steady growth, deep green color, smells wonderful, no pest problems, attracts bees. I've been picking off these beauties for 4 months and still tastes great after flowering.
I was sad to see that no one else tasted the cinnamon. It showed up for me! A handful in a smoothie is delightful. The flavors really came through when I added it to my home kombucha. One of my new faves!

What are the pros? Interesting fragrance
What are the cons? None
Growing about ten of them around my small garden as a companion plant to tomatoes. I'm loving the fragrance although sometimes it can smell like a grapefruit than cinnamon. Compared to other verde basil and greek basil, this one is not very useful in fending off mealy bugs from tomatoes.

What are the pros? attractive, sturdy, good taste
What are the cons? No cinnamon flavour
Grows quickly and makes for an attractive basil plant. Very lovely smell and great flavour but more reminiscent of anise or a "typical" basil and I personally don't pick up any cinnamon from it.

What are the pros? Grows fast and lasts long
What are the cons? Doesn't taste like cinnamon
Doesn't taste like cinnamon. We started some seeds indoors then transplanted. Others we direct seeded. All grew really well. Huge and otherwise tasted great.

What are the pros? unique flavor, attracts bees
What are the cons? none!
bought these seeds on a whim and i don't regret it! grew them for a bunch of people and myself last year and everybody including me loves it! of course i'm growing more this year as well! good germination rate! plus i heard flowering doesn't effect the flavor so there is no need to constantly remove them like genovese basil. plus they attract bees so you'll have those pollinators floating around and that's always a good thing!!!! i have some planted near a beehive this year so i'll see how they like it!!!
