Corn, Country Gentleman Sweet

Rating:
71% of 100

90 days. Introduced in 1890 by S.D. Woodruff & Sons. This variety bears sweet, milky, and tender kernels on 8-inch ears. The ears have no rows, as this is a shoe peg type, and kernels are packed in a zigzag pattern. One of the best heirloom sweet corns, and it is still used commercially in some places to make canned corn.
