This one is causing excitement in home gardens and at farmers markets. Carrots have bright purple skin and flesh that comes in shades of yellow and orange. Spicy and sweet-tasting roots are great for marketing.

What are the pros? taste, growth, hardiness

What are the cons? None

Review:

Have grown these two years now and they are the only carrot i will ever grow now. They are sweet, moist, easy to grow in loose to semi loose soil. Mild and warm temps don't seem to bother this variety, they grow well in both. Taste and crunch is outstanding. Love the color, does not affect taste at all. Excellent!!

What are the pros? Eager to grow!

What are the cons? Wish I knew about them before!

Review:

These came as a free seed packet with our spring order. I stuck them in a few full & part sun spots and mostly neglected them after the true leaves started to show. We've had a nice staggered harvest the last couple weeks from our late spring planting and expect several more weeks to come. They are beautiful in a salad, juiced and seldom make it past the garden hose as a snack. YUM!

Review:

I got these seeds as a free gift and I am very pleased with the outcome. The carrots grew very large, biggest of all my carrots. Very beautiful, almost all seeds germinated.

What are the pros? Tastes Great, Beautiful

What are the cons? Slow to mature

Review:

This is a wonderful carrot! Good germination, tastes great and beautiful. They did take a little longer to mature but that really wasn't a big deal. I just left them in the ground until the fall. They do loose their color and turn completely orange when cooked so in the future I'll grow these for fresh eating and a traditional nantes-style carrot for cooking and canning.
