I wanted to write one further comment on this pepper. The shape of the fruit is a little like an over sized habenaro, although it is absolutely sweet with no hotness at all. The fruit is deeply ridged and pleated to a degree that is seldom seen. It occurred to me that it might be C. chinense not C. annuum because sweet forms are known in both species of pepper. Using DeWitt and Bosland's book on pepper identification, it looks like it is just the familiar C. annuum species. The flowers are white, unspotted, and solitary and the filaments are tan. Hybrids are known between C. annuum and C. chinense but the identifying traits are absolutely consistent with C. annuum.
