Review:

I started indoors in jiffy pots with expert gardner potting mix and surface sown March 20. They started germinating at day 11 and 7 of 15 eventually sprouted. Moved outside to harden April 18 and transplanted to 1 quart pots with Miracle Gro veg and herb garden soil after 16 more days. One planted directly in native soil (amended clay) same day. They still don't have fully developed true leaves after 7 weeks. They haven't gotten taller than 1.5 inches but haven't wilted under direct sun either. Maybe it's a nutrient deficiency but they are slow to grow. I would recommend planting with some depth. Many of my germinated starts dried out sown on surface of soil. I hoped that these would be adapted to long hot humid summers. It's been hot the last two weeks and they still haven't taken off. I may start indoors earlier next year or may be pleasantly surprised by end of this summer. Will update progress later in season.
