What are the pros? Flavor, beautiful out and in

What are the cons? none

Review:

This tomato outstanding! A little harder to start inside. But this was our first year. Best flavor ! Best meatiness! Best inside color, beautiful deep red! Has just a bit heftier skin texture so it does not immediately spoil like so many heirloom tomatoes. It is like a paste tomato but it is not . Awesome! It is also beautiful on the outside. I had no trouble getting the beautiful appearance but have a hot sunny garden. Did not prune , did not water once, so maybe if I had I would have had trouble with flavor . All I can say is, I will now try all of Brad Gates tomatoes! Lucky for me my son started this as I did not get any ordered, I will be planting a lot more next year up here in Minnesota! Thank-you Baker Creek for carrying this absolutely outstanding tomato!

What are the pros? the taste is good.

What are the cons? not a prolific plant

Review:

I was excited to try this variety since it looked very interesting. After 2 years of growing them, I'm not a fan. My tomatoes looked nothing like the pic, long time to ripen, not a lot of fruit on the plants, tomatoes where small.

What are the pros? Flavor

What are the cons? Long grow time

Review:

We are in zone 8A. Cons: long time to mature Tomatoes a little on the small side Pros: These are some of the best tasting tomatoes I have ever had! These produce very meaty tomatoes which are wonderful for snacking on and making pizza sauce! Just be patient for them to come in and they produce like crazy!

What are the pros? N/A

What are the cons? Nothing like picture

Review:

I was very disappointed by this variety. Despite what the photograph suggests, my fruits are just a mottled red-orange color with barely any indigo. They look more diseased or underripe than anything else. The taste is okay and the yield is slightly lower than average. Doesn't do what's advertised, and offers few to no benefits in exchange.

What are the pros? Large quanity per plant

What are the cons? Thick leaves/ Vines

Review:

We're on the 7b/8a growing zone boarder. I started these seeds very early in my greenhouse, about mid January. Once transplanted in late April they took off. They were blooming by early May and I had to hand pollinate for a couple weeks before the pollinators really showed up. It's early June and I've already picked 2 early ripeners. The rest of the plants are loaded and will be giving us more very shortly. Due to humidity we try the prune extra vines and greenery from our tomatoes to help with air circulation and reduce fungal issues and blight. I have to prune these often. Tons of thick leaves. I do fertilzer with some fish emulsion but give these plants tons of egg shell and bone meal as well. I've pulled about 5 tomatoes with blossom end rot. No big deal though as there are easily 50 tomatoes per plant. Plus the taste is wonderful. These will be great in salsa.
