What are the pros? Early maturity
What are the cons? none
Other reviewers have compared this corn to much larger corn varieties that require more days to maturity. This is not a fair comparison at all. For people who live in zone 4, like I do, this kind of small, early-maturing corn is all that I can grow. I would certainly love to grow Country Gentleman here, but I do not have a long enough season and all I get is very large stalks that waste a lot of space. I am planting this corn for the third year in a row. The taste is fine. I have no idea what people are comparing it to that is supposed to taste so much better. Certainly, if you have a long growing season, there is no real reason to grow this variety, unless you want some early maturing corn to tide you over until your bigger corn is ready. But this is a great variety for cold places like Idaho with a short growing season.
