(Hylocereus hybrid) Flavor of the magenta-fleshed fruits is very well balanced, a perfect blend of sweet and tart. Named in honor of the breeder, Edgar Valdivia, the ripe fruits had a Brix of 18o! According to Joe Simcox, this is the best tasting Dragonfruit in the world! Grow outdoors in a sub-tropical climate or grow as an amazing greenhouse plant. It may take a few years to start producing, but when it does, be prepared for super delicious, magenta-fleshed fruit! Plants need little water and produce lovely blooms, too. We offer 2 small plants for $15.00

Please consider these terms before ordering live plants:
Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of March to the end of
May. We will try to ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed exact delivery dates. Plants may
arrive too early and have to be kept inside until the weather warms. Plants may arrive late, as well.
Due to the sensitive nature of small plants, there is the possibility of a crop failure. If such a situation
occurs, we will do our best to issue you a refund in a timely manner. Last minute losses can occur at
any point in our shipping timeline, and we may have to issue a refund even late in the season. No
orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs; you just pay our regular $3.50.

Review:

In Spring 2015 our preordered dragon fruit arrived, and, as expected the cuttings were about 4 to 5 inches in size, healthy and arrived in great shape. The cuttings grew fast. Most are now 4 to 5 ft tall ( Nov. 2015) with new branches forming. I posted a picture on Baker's facebook page. We planted ours in containers using a quality potting mix. Although these may look like catus, do not treat them like one. Ours have thrived in a good, rich potting soil and partial sun / shade and ample water. We have stakes but will encircle with rope to support the branches in the spring. Ours are overwintering in our greenhouse. No fruit yet, as expected. It looks as though the branches will easily break but they are resilient and have been blown over and manhandled without breaking. These are easy to grow in containers. Not a lot of work. Not fussy. We love our drsgonfruit trees.
