Bush, 60 days. This famous Dutch heirloom bean has an incomparable flavor. The tender and superbly delicious 7” pods are yellow with amazing purple streaks! Also makes a tasty shelled bean. Popular with chefs and gourmets. Compact plants set high yields.

Review:

So I started 140 beans or so 3 months ago. Not expecting to get a harvest. It was a new 4 foot square bed I had put in and I wanted something to just keep it weed free for the winter. I knew I liked these beans so I figured if I get a couple beans, than great! I was very surprised that even during our rainy rainy rainy (did I say rainy?!) winter these beans produced. Well. I ended up with 117 plants that survived the rats eating the sprouts. The total harvest was 4 pounds 2 ounces (1905 grams). I think we got a total of 3 sunny days the whole winter, not even joking. Rust set in at the very end of the fruiting, but I was very surprised it didn't set in earlier. I'm a life long grower of these beans from here on out.

Review:

This was my first bean to try to grow in my aquaponics and it did amazing. 100% germination with decent yields. I recommend planting at least 4-5 to ensure a meals worth when it comes time to harvest. Each plant produces about 1 meals worth for 1-2 people. Definitely recommended to anyone to try to grow though. It adds some awesome color to the garden.

Review:

I specifically bought bush beans because of limited space. Was excited to see dragon tongue as a bush variety. I am familiar cooking with them, the flavor is superb. I decided to start a few early indoors. A couple seem to be bush, however others from the same pack are vining quickly.

Great bean for beginners, very easy. I picked dozens and dozens from about six plants. Will plant two crops this year in my small plot a few weeks apart.

Review:

This bean was not only super easy to grow in the hot Sacramento California sun, but was also delicious, gave me plenty, and easy to see for picking. Made me smile every picking. A really beautiful and tasty bean.
