END OF SEASON SALE!!! SHIPS IMMEDIATELY! THESE ARE PLANTS THAT HAVE BEEN UP-POTTED IN OUR GREENHOUSE FROM THE ORIGINAL PLUGS! PLUG DESCRIPTION BELOW! THESE PLANTS ARE WELL ESTABLISHED AND READY TO SHIP!

(Musa) We believe this to be the smallest edible banana variety anywhere! “Truly tiny” plants mature at just 2-4 feet tall, making them ideal for greenhouse culture or containers, which is how it should be grown in most of the country. Leaves are very ornamental, with purple-red splashes. Yield a small dessert-type banana. This crop is easy to grow in the south, and produces fruit rather quickly for such a large plant. . You can grow these as far north as zone 8 with protection or in heated greenhouses of sun-rooms farther north. We love growing bananas in our Missouri greenhouse and get a crop in under a year. 2 plants.

Please consider these terms before ordering live plants: Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of March to the end of May. We will try to ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed exact delivery dates. Plants may arrive too early and have to be kept inside until the weather warms. Plants may arrive late, as well. Due to the sensitive nature of small plants, there is the possibility of a crop failure. If such a situation occurs, we will do our best to issue you a refund in a timely manner. Last minute losses can occur at any point in our shipping timeline, and we may have to issue a refund even late in the season. No orders shipped outside of the USA. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER March 1, 2019)

What are the pros? great foliage

What are the cons? no fruit yet

Review:

I purchased these in 2018. They grew amazingly. However come fall they were severally neglected when I started law school. One suffered from lack of water and a couple of frost days, while one made it safely in the house. The one the most injured spent the rest of the winter in an upstairs room with occasional watering, but still much less than banana's need. I brought it down last spring (2019) and now it is nearly the same size as the more cared for plant. This plant has also produced a few pups. The one that made it in has thrived. It is about two feet tall now and have produced several pups. Still no fruit on either tree, however they have made for a great indoor plant.

What are the pros? Easy to grow.

What are the cons? None

Review:

Bought these two years ago and are doing great. Started four more from he parents and they are also growing well. One of the parent plants is flowering and has three bunches forming. We’ll have to wait and see how they turn out but so far I’m happy with my plants.

Review:

I bought this Banana Tree years ago. It finally grew a pup and I eagerly waited for it to produce bananas. NOTHING !!! I will not buy again nor would I recommend. This is easy to grow but does not produce any bananas. Buy a dwarf cavandish, my sister bought this the same time I bought the Truely Tiny Banana and hers has fruited.

What are the pros? Like hot ,humid weather

What are the cons? 50-60 degree weather

Review:

I received these in early June and planted them in miracle grow potting soil with a little fertilizer in 2 gallon pots. You get 2 plants and aren't very big, maybe 4-5 inches.By August they had grown to 19 inches, all the time being outside on porch and being in hot humid weather they loved that.In October I bought bigger pots for them,I am guessing 15 gallon. It is November 28th and from the rim of the pots to the top of plants one is 43 inches tall with 22 inch leaves and the other plant is 40 inches with 21 inch leaves. In late October I brought them into the house and are in a sunny room.I have ordered banana plants before and they would grow but it would take them from May until November and maybe got 2 foot tall. These have exceeded my expectations by far. When they were outside, they were voracious with water sometimes I had to water twice a day. While inside now they aren't as thirsty but still have water along edges of leaves and maybe not as fast but they are still growing.

What are the pros? Easy care, small size, cute

What are the cons? No fruit yet

Review:

I love these plants so much. I've had mine growing in 20" pots for about two years now, and they are thriving. They've reached full size and have produced at least 12 pups, but no fruit yet. I've been skimping on the fertilizer, so I can't really blame them for that. Fun little plants to have around regardless.
