Colocasia) One of the original "Canoe" plants of the ancient Hawaiians, is both an incredible food plant and rich source of ornamental beauty in the garden. (Warning: only eat this plant with proper preparations as it can be poisonous otherwise.) We offer an incredible assortment of beautiful varieties that are generally hardy in zones 8-11, but are easy to grow almost any- where with winter protection. The Gettle family spent the winter in Hawaii and has become fascinated by the incredible diversity and usefulness of this amazing plant. We especially love the cooked greens! Grow well in moist soil and love warmth. Some of these may only produce small tubers, but all produce abundant leaves! Includes 3 assorted small plants.

Please consider these terms before ordering live plants:
Most plants will be 3”-7” in height. Plants will ship as available after the first of March to the end of
May. We will try to ship orders to southern zones first. No guaranteed exact delivery dates. Plants may
arrive too early and have to be kept inside until the weather warms. Plants may arrive late, as well.
Due to the sensitive nature of small plants, there is the possibility of a crop failure. If such a situation
occurs, we will do our best to issue you a refund in a timely manner. Last minute losses can occur at
any point in our shipping timeline, and we may have to issue a refund even late in the season. No

orders shipped outside of the USA. No Extra shipping costs; you just pay our regular $3.50. (PRE-ORDER PLANTS WILL SHIP AFTER March 1, 2018)

What are the pros? Good boil salted water / fish

What are the cons? A little slimmy like okra/ goo

Review:

Like I said a little slimmy like okra; but you get use to it . If you eat it with meat, cod fish, regular fish; it's all good . You would have to try it . It's an acquired taste . The more you eat it, the better it gets. . Love it...!!

Elephant Ear and Taro are two different plants. This is taro, more well known as Kalo in Hawaii. Super tasty and one of the best foods!

What are the pros? Arrived in great shape

What are the cons? Not standard edible cultivars

Review:

Plants arrived looking very nice. I was hoping for more standard edible cultivars- I'm a huge fan of taro leaf. Varieties received are Black Ruffles, Pink China, and Illustris - these seem to be mostly ornamental. Overall, I'm very happy with my order. We will see how the end up tasting this fall or sometime next year.
