This beautiful variety has medium-large blooms in shades of burgundy, rust, bronze, bright yellow and crimson, with many being bicolored. The 7' plants produce many flowers over a long season. This is one of my favorite varieties. Gorgeous!

What are the pros? Gorgeous, tall, prolific

What are the cons? None.

Review:

My daughter and I planted these directly in the ground. She has been thrilled to see such gorgeous tall plants! They are easily 7-8 feet tall, and I can't reach the top flowers. The bees, birds, and squirrels have been happy, as are my neighbors, who have been receiving cut flowers. I have many different colors. I'll definitely plant these again!

What are the pros? Good looking flowers

What are the cons? No different blooms

Review:

These are nice looking flowers, and mine are more like 10' tall instead of 7. The advertisement showed a few different kinds of flowers: some red, some yellow and red... I saw at least 4 or 5 different kinds. I have 6 planted, and so far they're all yellow with red toward the inside. I was hoping for one of the red ones. I guess I'll have to plant a bunch next time.

What are the pros? Beautiful

What are the cons? Seems weak when starting out

Review:

This flower is amazing! It's absolutely beautiful. U grew some in my garden, and some in a large pot on my deck. The ones in the large pot did a lot better. The downside: they were very week when they were just sprouting. I wasn't sure that they were going to even stand up! But working with them gently, they continued to grow and as they grew, became much stronger. I will definitely grow more next year.

Pretty against the hedges

What are the pros? Pretty

What are the cons? Slow and weak

Review:

I had a very good success rate with starting the seeds directly where I wanted them outside. I had several spaced nicely growing against some short hedges (had about 9-10 hours of sun a day) but they plants were slow to grow and would spiral- sometimes they seemed like they were trying to vine on the ground... All the other sunflowers I ordered from here turned out great! I had to replace several of the plants because they would begin growing on the ground and then die off. When I finally some growing strong they did produce very pretty flowers. Oh, and the plants only reached about 4 feet.

What are the pros? beautiful and useful

What are the cons? none

Review:

In my urban, upper midwestern garden, this sunflower reseeded. The plants were true and abundant. The numerous colorful (rust to burgundy to creamy yellow) blooms on tall (6 feet), sturdy stalks provided a finch habitat from early July through mid September. Truly a happy accident that I will try to recreate.
